 Art cities

Artistic towns – Abruzzo is an ancient region which keeps the traces – also the artistical ones – of the historical events that occurred to its land and to the people who lived in it.
It is one of the few regions in Italy that preserved, almost intact in time, its past’s spirit and traditions, especially thanks to its mountains, the highest in the Appenines.

The presence of historical towns along the lines of communication between North and South is today the clearest evidence of a human situation that seemed, only apparently closed and conservative, but that on the contrary was always open to change and travel, to communication and hospitality.
